MonScan Community Guidelines
MonScan's community feed lets you share custom cards you make with the card maker, and like, download and share cards made by others. Everything you share is public. These guidelines keep the community safe and fun. They are part of the MonScan terms and the Terms of Use.
Share cards that are
- your own creation, made with images you took, drew or have permission to use;
- suitable for everyone who uses the app;
- clearly fan-made, not presented as official or genuine cards.
Do not share
- Sexual content: nudity, sexual or sexually suggestive images or text.
- Anything involving minors in a harmful way: we have zero tolerance for content that sexualises or endangers children. Such content is removed and reported to the authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable.
- Violence and gore: graphic violence, threats, or content that glorifies harm.
- Hate and harassment: content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or other protected characteristics; bullying or targeting individuals.
- Personal information: real names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, social-media handles, or photos of people who have not agreed to it, including yourself.
- Infringing content: artwork, photos or logos you do not have the right to use, including scans of official cards or other people's art.
- Deception and fraud: fake or counterfeit cards presented as genuine, or anything meant to mislead buyers.
- Illegal or dangerous content: drugs, weapons, self-harm, extremism or other illegal activity.
- Spam and scams: advertising, links, repeated posts, or attempts to get people's money or data.
- Impersonation: pretending to be another person, brand, company or the MonScan team.
How to report a card
If you see a card that breaks these guidelines:
- Use the Report option on the card in the app, where available; and/or
- Email support@controlsolution.org with the subject "MonScan community report" and include the card name, the illustrator name shown on the card, a screenshot, and why you are reporting it.
Email is the most reliable way to give us full details while we improve in-app reporting. We review every report and aim to act on it promptly, normally within a few business days, and sooner for content that may put someone at risk. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
You can also report offensive AI chat answers to the same email address.
What we do
- We may remove any card that breaks these guidelines, without prior notice.
- We may stop a device from sharing cards if it repeatedly or seriously breaks the rules.
- We remove infringing content when a rights holder sends a valid notice (see Copyright complaints).
- We report illegal content to the authorities where the law requires.
If you think your card was removed by mistake, email us with the card details and we will review it.
Managing your own cards
You can delete a card you shared from within MonScan; deleting the collection that contains it also deletes the shared card. Cards that other users already downloaded may remain on their devices. See Delete your MonScan data.
